Life Saving Tips [1]

Good day pals, today I will give tips to my fellow readers on the New/Revised version of Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation [CPR]. Some of it may not be aware that the syllabus for CPR has changed and it is said to be more effective. But then, i've heard the US side is trying to implement something more effective which is only through compression, how true I might not know until it's published and practised. An easy pneumatics that can help everyone to remember. Just remember DRABC in any situation~

D- the alphabet "D" stands for danger. We should always look around us whether there's any
danger that harms you and the casualty. We should always ensure the situation is clear and
free from danger before attending the casualty...Or else you will end up as a casualty too!
lolz~

R- the alphabet "R" stands for Response. How to check for response? Just gently tap on the
casualty's shoulder and ask "Sir, are you alright? Can I help you?" The phrase "can i help
you" is very important here because you can use it as a proof not to have the intention to kill
a casualty. For baby from 1 months old to 16months, you can always tickle the baby's leg to
check for response. If there aren't any response, ask someone to call for the ambulance by
saying "Help! Help! there's a casualty unconscious here, please call the ambulance and
come back to me."

A- the alphabet "A" stands for Airway...It's the main windpipe in our throat that connects from
mouth to nose and to trachea. It is important to check the airway as the air enters and exit depends on it. The next alphabet will tell you how important it is to check airway. Use the method head-tilt-chin-lift [shown in the pic of Below] to help you to check on the airway. Ofcourse you have to open his mouth to check~

B- this alphabet represents breathing, where we have to check whether the casualty is breathing. Check breathing is easy, just 3 things in your mind; look, listen and feel it. You "look" on the chest rise, cause your chest will rise if your breathing, listen to the casualty's breath and feel the breath. If he/she does, place him/her in recovery position [will be discuss next time]. If the casualty has no breathing, straight proceed to give 2 rescue breaths or some may known as rescue blows. There is no longer the need of checking pulse, straight jump to cardiac compression.

The last alphabet, "C" stands for compression. Use the nipple line as a guide for effective compression. Your hands must be placed on the casualty's breast bone [sternum]. When you compress, make sure it isn't too deep. After giving 2 rescue blow, compress 30 times, and repeat this for 5 cycles [2 breaths + 30 compression]. You may stop CPR when: Ambulance arrived, casualty revived, until you tired or defibrillator arrived. You are reccomended to change people if you are tired of doing CPR, totally no problem with that. Onced the casualty revived, turn the casualty into recoveryp position.

Arguement: Without checking pulse and compression is dangerous because when there's pulse and you do compression, you will make the heart stop. Therefore, NEVER try CPR on a living person cause you WILL kill him.
