The Peace of Christmas

I would like to share the last Element of Christmas; "The Peace of Christmas" for today. It would be the last post from me in the year of 2010 too.

We will start of the topic with these verses; Luke 2: 6~14.

The Peace Of Christmas.
The peace here we are not speaking about is the peace that comes from worldly materials like filling your hungry stomach, getting good grades, no war and etc...The peace we're discussing is the inner/within which is from God. God's peace can only be available to people whom His favour rests.

How do we know His in us?
--> We only get to know His favour in us when we have a close personal relationship with Him. We can bond a close relationship with God by reading bible, prayers, and also through the Holy Spirit.

Three areas that God promise peace for those who believed in Him.
1) Peace with God
--> In general, sins has cause humanity to suffer and create much problems in our lives. Besides, sins  rob peace and relationship from man with God. No doubt we are sinners and constantly sins
everyday, but if we do confess them and seek for forgiveness, I believe our Father will surely forgive us if only we repent from them, refer [1 John 1: 8~10]  If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.  If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.  If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word is not in us. What matters of all is Repentance! Repentance! Repentance!

2) Peace within ourselves
--> We can have all the things in the world; personal freedom, items, rights and etc.. but we still have no peace. Why? This is because we felt empty deep within us. Some denied this fact that they feel lonely and empty deep inside, therefore they forced themselves to involve in a busy schedule and constantly find things to do to fill the emptiness. I know how they feel, because I was once like that too. After receiving Jesus as personal saviour, there is no missing piece to our lives because peace is provided by our Father and His son, Jesus Christ. It is important to for the presence of peace because no peace = no security = no joy.

3) Peace with Others
--> God gives us the ability the ability to live in Peace with others. His words in 2 Timothy 2:  23~24 teaches us that Don’t have anything to do with foolish and stupid arguments, because you know they produce quarrels. And the Lord’s servant must not be quarrelsome but must be kind to everyone, able to teach, not resentful. Furthermore, Jesus command us to love our enemy and those who persecute us. Love and pray for them so that they will understand why we care and love for them one day. Beyond of all these, we are also urged to teach people the values of love and forgiveness. These two values are important in creating relationships, not only with God, but also among us.

**Remember this always: We are not gurantee to be loved by all, but we are to offer God's love to all by words and deeds.** Happy New Year!!

The Joy of Christmas

Today I will continue the 2nd Element of Christmas; "The Joy Of Christmas"

What does the word joy means to you? I still remember this phrase up til now ever since the our Hope Ipoh has celebrated her anniversary. Most people may answer the of feel happiness and etc...But I'm here to share a new definition of the word joy. Joy is like love, as it is not merely emotion but rather a decision.

Three main areas of focus if you want to experience joy. We will use the pneumonics/acronym of "JOY" also.
Jesus
Others
Yourself

For the alphabet "J" the letter symbolizes Jesus, where we should focus/put our eyes on Jesus.  [Galactians 2: 20]--> I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. Through Christ lives in us, we are able to experience joy because of His love and our Father's abundant plans that He sets for us. When we have Jesus, we have more than anything else, as you can find the TRUE JOY/HAPPINESS. Remember Jesus in our heart always!

As for the letter "O" it reprsents Others. The second area that we should pay attention to is "Others". Let's discuss the verse related. Acts 20: 35 says that In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’Well, these days we even noticed that the value of altruism [selfless concern for the welfare of others first] has disappeared in the society. We can track this even in a restraurant itself! People always choose the best for themselves first then the rest which are not decent/good then give it to others. However, we should never instill/practice this kind of value in us. We can obtain joy by "giving ourselves to others". It means it is not about what we get and what can we get in return, but what we can give to others. The bible also encourage us through Matthew 25:40; “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’

The final area that we are focusing in is Yourself from the letter "Y". It's rather more into attitude itself. We should always have a positive/optimistic mindset. As commands/movements of flesh will be controlled by our mind. Having a right attitude to follow Jesus is very important too as it keeps us continue to follow Him closely and Faithfully. Always remember this point that "noone/nothing can rob anything from us except of ourselves!"

Why putting ourselves last rather than first?
1) God's word have spoken in Romans 15: 1~3  that We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves. Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification. For even Christ pleased not himself; but, as it is written, The reproaches of them that reproached thee fell on me.
2) Lesson through Christ's Character

Conclusion
1) Always remember that Christmas is all about Jesus and Joy.
2) Remember Jesus in your heart.
3) Joy does not obtain trough worldly materials, but through Jesus.
4) Nothing can rob anything from us except ourselves.
5) Give ourselves to others.

The Faith of Christmas

I would like to share a short message regarding Elements of Christmas; There will be three parts; "The Faith of  Christmas", The Joy of Christmas", and The Peace of Christmas.

1) The Faith of Christmas
I would like to start of the discussion by these verses, Luke 2: 1~20. The Faith of Christmas will be discussing the two main characters which are Joseph and Mary.

**Joseph**
--> Based on the bible, Joseph is a man with deep religious conviction.
He believed in everything in God said through the angel about marrying Mary.  Did you know that last time men are not allowed to marry pregnant women as their wife, because everything will turn out ugly after that. Everyone will have a different mindset on you regarding marrying a wife which already pregnant. But Joseph said OK, no problem! What we learnt from Joseph is that we need to learn to TRUST God completely. However, it is not easy these days for us, human to trust completely on God, especially what lies beyond our comprehension. In this era of technology, it's rather difficult to make people to understand things from the point of spiritual realm/religious thoughts. Holy Spirit teaches us what is opposite the world if you think of it. This is because in 1 John 2:15 the bible teaches us that " "Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them". Therefore, NEVER be overly attached to worldly materials, as it only last temporarily; We should invest in something that last eternity. What they learnt these days are all about logic. Agree?

**Mary**
--> As for Mary, she is a little different from Joseph. Mary questioned/doubted the thoughts of a virgin like her will be able to conceive; Luke 1;34  “How will this be,” Mary asked the angel, “since I am a virgin?” This statement/verse above do apply to us as well. After sometime of accepting Jesus Christ as saviour, our "fire" tends to die down and we began to doubt in God in every aspect. His awesomeness,His power, His mighty and we lost the wonder of God... But I'm here to tell everyone that the God, our Father is still the same; that awesome, mighty, miracle, loving and etc.. However, Mary did obeyed the command at the end in Luke 1;38  “I am the Lord’s servant,” Mary answered. “May your word to me be fulfilled.” Then the angel left her. In the end, Mary did find Her way back/ on the track of Faith. What about you?

Conclusion
a) Let's challange ourself that what God says/promises is true and trust in God completely where we
put our life into God's hand.
b) With Faith, obedience is required.
c) If Joseph and Mary did not have the Faith in God's work and disobeyed God's command, we
wouldn't be saved and ofcourse we won't be celebrating Christmas.
d) Have Faith in God!

15th MNC 2010 Experience~

It’s my first time in MNC, I longed for it since November before my finals…I was so excited to go this convention. Praise the Lord, 15th MNC 2010 held from 4th tp 7th December 2010, in Komtar Dome Penang didn’t turn out to be a disappointment, but it’s a blessing for me! Hallelujah, I bet everyone had fun while learning and receiving the word of God. The MNC for this year has a theme of ONE which really imparts a major role in every aspect in Kingdom of God.

Proclaiming My Identity
“We are, we are the army of God”
“Burning, burning the fire of God yeah...”
Sounds familiar? The above lyrics are from the song Army of God. Well, through this I’ve realised that this is another identity of mine beside than the children of God and HIS servant. I realized the importance of the being an army of God. This is because we are going to have war; not with the world, but having spiritual warfare all the time. Being an army itself carries significant values; bold, courage, sacrificial and be prepared for war. Bold and courageà this will encourage me to share gospels with the non-believer often. Sacrificial à We need to know what it takes to follow Jesus closely. Every Christians should know that we might need to make some sacrificial in life in order to follow Jesus Closely. I’m sure you wouldn’t want to be like the Rich Young Man in Matthew 19: 21~24 who want to follow Jesus closely but don’t want to sacrifice his precious. Preparation à I need to be ready in a few fields; spiritually, mentally and emotionally to be involve in spiritual warfare and also to wait for Jesus’ Second Coming. Jesus’ second coming is one of the motivations to keep Christians to continue to live in lives.

Poor and Lost Souls
It’s sad to say that we living in a world where wrong seem right. It’s pretty disappointment and sad to see youths today spend most time in cyber cafes rather than in churches. Near Elden’s church, Vineyard Church Community [VCC] lays many cyber cafes around it. What I see is the cyber cafes are full of youth during weekends but churches seem not filled by youths? But why is that happening? It seems that youths today has lost the vision of God in their eye sight, they rather seek virtual world and to walk in the darkness to fill their emptiness, to mend their pains and sorrows rather than seeking God. The people need the Lord badly; therefore Christians should start giving our lives to reach out to this people to tell them how great our God is, how God shines light through the darkness through our prayers and cries by giving us hope, HIS agape love for us by receiving the word of God and share them out boldly. **Dear Christians, we must remember that only WE can share the Living Words of HIS, not others!**I’ve learnt in the convention that we do not need much knowledge, but just trust and believe by faith the work of God through Holy Spirit that will guide you.  Let’s try our very best to help them to find their way back to God again and let them taste the gift of salvation. “They will never know the sweetness of the honey unless they taste it themselves.”

Roar of the Lion of Judah
RWAR~ Of course Jesus is the our King of our lives, the ruler of our lives and Kings of all kings; just like the analogy of lion rules over the whole jungle. To testify this, Jesus is the King of all Jews as discuss in the book of Gospel; Mathhew. I believe the King has chosen us for purposes. Therefore fellow brothers and sisters, I believe it is time to rise up as ONE and work with the lord to expand the kingdom. I use the word with because; only by His grace and the others Faith, people can be offered salvation. Besides, it is important to obey His words; listen to His commands and voice NOT your emotions! Sometimes, we may be confused by our emotions; being “toyed” around by the devil. If we did  not follow His commands and do as our emotions, God will be not be with us and displeased because we are not doing according His will. Then, whatever we do will not be successful if God is not with us. It is essential to read bible constantly so that we can differ which is from God and which is from the devil. Furthermore, we must have the Kingdom Mentality. Everything is we accomplished is for our King; to honour Him and to glorify HIM. It is important to have a “servant heart” to serve HIM full-heartedly; no matter in a big or small tasks because HE sees your heart & motives [sincerity] not based on quantity.

Therefore, what’s best for us is to seek God so that we can ensure we are doing things according to His Will. Well, I hope everyone enjoyed reading this pretty long article, perhaps I should write more XD. I would have regretted if I miss out this MNC 2010 because it’s a marvellous experience! Remember, our God is Love; may HIS love takes us deeper to continue to praise and worship HIM. God Bless~

Good Article to Share...very meaningful‏

A story shared by my friend Andrew; Enjoy the story below~

A long time ago, there was an Emperor  who told his horseman  that if he could ride on his horse and cover as much land area as he likes, then the Emperor would give him the area of land he has covered.   Sure enough, the horseman quickly jumped onto his horse and rode as fast as possible to cover as much land area as he could.  He kept on riding and riding, whipping the horse  to go as fast as possible. When he was hungry or tired, he did not stop because he wanted to cover as much area as possible.   Came to a point when he had covered a substantial area and he was exhausted  and was  dying. Then he asked himself,  "Why did I push myself so hard to cover so much land area? Now I am dying  and I only need a very small area to bury  myself."
The above story is similar with the journey of our Life. We push very hard everyday to make more  money, to gain power and  recognition. We neglect our health , time with our family  and to appreciate the surrounding beauty and the hobbies we love..
One day when we look back, we will realize that we don't really need that much, but then we cannot turn back time  for what we have missed.
Life is not about making money, acquiring power or recognition . Life is definitely not about work!  Work is only necessary to keep us living so as to enjoy the beauty  and pleasures of life. Life is a balance of Work , Family and Personal time.. You have to decide how you want to balance your Life. Define your priorities, realize what you are able to compromise but always let some of your decisions be based on your instincts.  Happiness  is the meaning and the purpose of Life, the whole aim of human existence.
So, take it easy, do what you want to do and appreciate nature. Life is fragile, Life is short. Do not take Life for granted. Live a balanced  lifestyle and enjoy Life!
Watch your thoughts  ; they become  words.
Watch your words  ; they become actions.
Watch your actions  ; they become habits.
Watch your habits; they become character  .
Watch your character; it becomes your destiny  .

Fossil

This beautiful wood fossil jade was once part of a tree

Fossil stones come in a multitude of colours and display some of their former characteristics as living organisms or plants. SUSHMA VEERA is in awe of their beauty DURING my daily drive on Jalan Maarof in Bangsar, I pass by a house-turned-retail outlet with colourful, rock-like formations placed outside.

I have never seen sculptures quite like them before.

“These are not just any stone,” says Lee Seng Siew, managing director of The Sculptures, when we met. “They were once living trees, a few million years old.” Noting my confusion, Lee continues: “The trees have undergone a long transformation and become fossil stones. The process is known as petrification, or in layman’s term, wood turned into fossil stone.” He says the term “fossil” is used to describe the remains of a prehistoric plant or animal preserved in petrified form or as a mould or cast in rock.
“Fossils are not just the remains of organisms such as teeth, bones, shells and carcasses. There are also plant and tree fossils as well as those of insects and animals.” He points out that fossil stones are normally found in areas with volcanic activity and waters rich in minerals and that fossil stones are like diamonds or rare gemstones. He says the stones can cost from RM200 to a few thousand ringgit. The most expensive at The Sculptures is the crystallised stone at RM185,000. “This stone weighs about 3,000kg and stands at 160cm. It took more than 300,000 years to transform from regular wood to this form.

“The rarer the stones, the higher their price. Their value is based on their beauty, rarity and durability.” The stones come in a multitude of colours and display some of their former characteristics as living organisms or plants. An example is petrified wood. From the contours of the sample, one can tell the origins and nature of the wood.

Petrified wood is very hard (most are crystallised from silicates and quartz) and can measure more than seven on the Mohs scale. The Mohs scale is used to classify minerals according to their hardness.
Because of its hardness, it can withstand a hard polish. Once polished, the surface is shiny and reflects the wood’s beauty from within.

“People are willing to pay more for a beauty formed by Mother Nature. A beautiful piece of nature in your home will definitely be a topic for conversation,” says Lee. He adds that the best locations for such pieces are the dining hall of a house and the front porch of an office.

Are fossil stones used for meditation? Lee says: “Some sources say fossil stones have intrinsic, latent energy. This energy is trapped within the stone, so when one sits on a slab of fossil stone, its positive energy will have a calming and harmonious effect on the person.
“Usually practitioners of meditation recommend that the stones be cleansed. The stones may contain positive and negative energies, so cleansing the stones will make sure that the negative energy is wiped off. Practitioners usually recommend using water diluted with salt or lime leaves.” There are many fossils sites in the world, most notably Alberta in Canada and North Dakota in the United States. “The Dinosaur National Park in Alberta is a perfect example. The logs in the Petrified National Forest in Arizona are actually fossilised stone,” says Lee. Petrified wood is also found in China, Indonesia and Myanmar. Lee gets his supplies from Indonesia. “The petrification process takes place on the seabed where trees are buried under layers of mud, volcanic ash and other materials. The wood’s tissue will slowly break down and be filled with agate and other minerals such as silica, changing its chemical structure.

“Over millions of years, these minerals crystallise within the wood’s cellular structure and form the stone-like material.”

Agape

"Was when HE ran to me, He took me in His arms
Held my head to His chest, said “My son’s come home again”
-When God Ran~ Phillips, Craig And Dean-

Do they sound familiar to you? What is the first thing pops up your mind? The HE above refers to the Almighty Lord, not anyone else =). Well I have encounted an opinion; It is we, who run to God not the other wise. Well, there's no right or wrong opinion since I asked for opinion. But, in my opinion this song has a big significance showing God's Love towards us. Everytime when I listen to this song, I felt like hugging someone and say "God loves you too." For the past weeks I've been introduced a word called "AGAPE" through reading Daily Bread.i was like "Aiks? Seremban's church name is here?!?" but now I understand the meaning of it is the love of God or Christ for mankind.
Though, I've just accepted Christ not long [approximately 3 months] but I understand and felt the love of God. I know the Lord has been kind and loving as he takes care of every single needs that necessary for me to grow well in Christ. I felt really blessed at every end of my day because the Lord had exposed me with different kinds of learning; academically or non-academically. The Lord also had accompanied me through my good and bad times~ Thank you Lord.

Certain Doubts People May tought of~
1) We're sinners, how can God still love us?
--> To be speak the truth, God will STILL love us. You know how and why? God sent His son,
Jesus to die for us while we're still sinners.  [Romans 5:8]~ God demonstrates HIS own love for
us in this; while we were still sinners. Christ died fo us. It's rare/seldom/ you can say NEVER
someone in your life would send His children to die for us. But God did. Jesus has pay for our
sins on the cross and to save us!

2) God is a loving God, if that's the case, why HE punishes people?
--> Many has a wrong perception towards the word LOVE. The concept love it doesn't means you
will not be hurt at all. Example, many may complain "My parents don't let me do this and do that,
My parent punished me for this and that." Instead of complaining much about all these things,
have you ever wondered why? In the process you may hated them, but then they still love you
and wanted you to know that they love you. Sadly most of them don't realise this! Back to the
question, the same concept applied here...God wants to give you a wake up call on your mistakes
and help you to grow. You may hate HIM for now, but then you surely will realise one day why
would HE did that. God will be always waiting for the day where you return to HIM.

How can you demonstrate your love to God?
1. We should try not to do something that breaks His Heart.
2. Repentance, and turn your self back to Him.
3. Building a two-way relationship
4. Serve Him in many ways~

Well, it's my first experience to publish this genre of article and I found it interesting to share my personal experience with everyone. If you have time, googling the song entittled "When God Ran Phillips, Craig And Dean". I hope my article can bless someone's life too. Thank you for watching over me and love you, Jesus~ Lord, Revive our passion for you once again!
God Bless~

Jim kneels to pray

Truly an inspiring story that I want to share with my fellow readers, I hope everyone will enoy reading this story =).
Tittle: Jim Kneels to pray~

A minister passing through his church
in the middle of the day,
Decided to pause by the altar
and see who had come to pray.
Just then the back door opened,
a man came down the aisle,
The minister frowned as he saw
the man hadn't shaved in a while.

His shirt was kinda shabby
and his coat was worn and frayed,
the man knelt, he bowed his head,
Then rose and walked away.

In the days that followed,
each
noon time came this chap,
each time he knelt just for a moment,
A lunch pail in his lap.

Well, the minister's suspicions grew,
with robbery a main fear,
He decided to stop the man and ask him, 'What are you doing here?'

The old man said, he worked down the road..
Lunch was half an hour..
Lunchtime was his prayer time,
For finding strength and power.

'I stay only moments, see,
because the factory is so far away;
as I kneel here talking to the Lord,
This is kinda what I say:

'I JUST CAME AGAIN TO TELL YOU, LORD,
HOW HAPPY I'VE BEEN, SINCE WE FOUND EACH OTHERS FRIENDSHIP AND YOU TOOK AWAY MY SIN. DON'T KNOW MUCH OF HOW TO PRAY, BUT I THINK ABOUT YOU EVERYDAY.
SO, JESUS, THIS IS JIM CHECKING IN TODAY.'

The minister feeling foolish,
told Jim, that was fine..
He told the man he was welcome
To come and pray just anytime

Time to go, Jim smiled, said 'Thanks.'
He hurried to the door.
The minister knelt at the altar,
he'd never done it before.

His cold heart melted, warmed with love, and met with Jesus there.
As the tears flowed, in his heart,
he repeated old Jim's prayer:

'I JUST CAME AGAIN TO TELL YOU, LORD, HOW HAPPY I'VE BEEN, SINCE WE FOUND EACH OTHERS FRIENDSHIP AND YOU TOOK AWAY MY SIN. I DON'T KNOW MUCH OF HOW TO PRAY, BUT I THINK ABOUT YOU EVERYDAY..

SO, JESUS, THIS IS ME CHECKING IN TODAY.'

Past noon one day, the minister noticed that old Jim hadn't come.
As more days passed without Jim,
he began to worry some..

At the factory, he asked about him,
learning he was ill.
The hospital staff was worried,
But he'd given them a thrill..

The week that Jim was with them,
Brought changes in the ward.
His smiles, a joy contagious.
Changed people, were his reward.

The head nurse couldn't understand
why Jim was so glad, when no flowers, calls or cards came,
Not a visitor he had.

The minister stayed by his bed,
He voiced the nurse's concern:
No friends came to show they cared.
He had nowhere to turn.

Looking surprised, old Jim spoke
up and with a winsome smile;
'the nurse is wrong, she couldn't know, that He's in here all the while

everyday at noon He's here,
a dear friend of mine, you see,
He sits right down, takes my hand,
Leans over and says to me:
'I JUST CAME AGAIN TO TELL YOU, JIM, HOW HAPPY I HAVE BEEN, SINCE WE FOUND THIS FRIENDSHIP, AND I TOOK AWAY YOUR SIN. ALWAYS LOVE TO HEAR YOU PRAY, I THINK ABOUT YOU EACH DAY, AND SO JIM, THIS IS JESUS CHECKING IN TODAY.'

If this blesses you, pass it on. Many people will walk in and out of your life, but only true friends will leave footprints in your heart

May God hold you in the palm of His hand and Angels watch over you.

Please pass this page on to your friends & loved ones.

So this is me ... Just Checking In

Live in peace and peace will live in you

My testimony =)

On the 17th of October 2010, It was my church's 12th Anniversary! Happy Birthday Church! I would like to thank God and the Coordinator for allowing to share testimony with my church mates and now with you readers ^^..

My testimony is quite mythic, and it’s hard to believe in scientific way, but nothing is impossible with God. Amen? I studied in a Christian School named St Paul Instituition. I was a strong Taoist back then. Nevertheless, my Christian friends invited me to their church for events; Easter, Christmas and Cell Group. My first proper introduction to Christ is through the Movie Passion of the Christ when I was in Form 1. That time, I felt Jesus is very “Wei Da” ; sacrificing Himself on the cross for us.

When I was in form 3, I begin to hear voices kept calling my name; sometimes it screeches and sometimes a gentle voice. I always thought my mum called me, but then I ended up getting scolding for hallucinating. I always feel unsecured like someone is following me and looking at me. It’s too real to be said as dreams! I ask my Christian friends; some say might be God’s calling; some said Devil’s calling and so on. I became afraid and I started to read more books on Buddhism. I’ve decided to ignore those things as those things kept appearing in my life.. During my form 4, my friend invited me to join prayer meeting, out of curiosity I joined them every Thursday after school. I learn about the word of God, praise and worship HIM. I felt a strong presence during praise and worship About a year later, I actually have the desire to accept Christ, but back then I don’t know who and how to approach and certain problems arose and I dropped the Idea.

Three to four months ago, when I was reminiscing about my past, I live in a contented life, perhaps I can say I have almost everything that I wanted; parent’s love, normal school boy life, friends and so on. Nevertheless, I felt empty or something missing within me; that is God. I began to question myself, how many youths today do really know their God well? That night onwards, I have dreams that make me to have sleep disorders; those dreams are the same. Whenever I close my eyes, I see something like a snake with legs waiting for me and hop bites me. All I do in the dream is keep running in the dream, but the snake wanted to convey me a message; all I do is close my ears and run and that dream lasted for some time. Those voices appeared once again and even now worst where something is asking me to walk in darkness alone. Up till one stage I was confused and declared myself as free thinker. None shared my problems, until I decided to open my conversation to Elden and my friend, Kelvin one day. Then, Elden shared me a video; where Pastor Philip Mantofa was speaking in tongue; it took effect on me and I immediately rushed to toilet and vomited. Then I resumed the video again I rushed to toilet and threw up.  I felt something not right, but my heart urged me to dwell in Christ; at the same time a voice said “Come to me and I will reveal my Will to you slowly.” From that day I told the Lord, Lord take charge of my life and I want to feel you. I began reading bible from that day.

Transformation
On the 28th July 2010, I joined UTP’s prayer meeting for second time and get to know Bro. Chee Lim. I did the sinner’s prayer and accepted Christ in UTP’s prayer meeting. From that day, my life has changed, where I became more Faithful to the Lord, reading word of God is not a burden [I used to think], and the Lord has renewed me. Thank God, that my mother is open minded. I told her about I believe and accepted Christ. I think my mother saw the “renewed” me and quite shocked. I used to have quite a bad temper; when my patience worn out. Last time, suddenly I will like have “Hakka Wind” where suddenly can scold people without reason and throw things, just what ever in my hands I’ll throw. Thank to the Lord has been kind to me where HE extended by patience limit more and threw bad habits away. She also began to ask me to bring the Kid to Sunday school to expose him to Christ to change his bad character.

God gave me a visions/dreams:
One afternoon when I’m sleeping, I’ve dreamt about myself and my prayer buddy, Elden are wearing white clothes and praying for people. I couldn’t believe myself either, and I quickly shared with Elden. Not long later, when sister Jessie was asking who has calling to become a intercessor, something in me spoke to me; Go Avalon, accept the calling…But what is that? I can’t simply accept it… The something said “Have faith, Go for it”..So I believed it and I accept it. I believe it was a call for an intercessor, intercede on behalf of others. My second dream is I dreamt I brought my mother to church to a Chinese Sermon. I’m praying hard so that will happen as well.

I remembered my friend Kelvin told me “You won’t know the sweetness of the honey until you taste it yourself, just like Christ.”So brothers and sisters, despite of how busy we are in our daily lives; we must not forget to spend time with God. Besides, Bro. Elden said before that we should be like little children, where joyful, forgive people easily, humble and a strong believe in something; God. I would like to give thanks to the Lord for His Work and Will into my life. Thank you, Bro Chee Lim, Bro Elden and my friends in Seremban [Kelvin and Warren] to help me to grow.

I will close my testimony by sharing a verse with everyone: [Proverbs 3:5~6] Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek His will in all you do and He will show you which path to take.

Hope everyone enjoy reading my testimony. =)

The Son

A story/article or email shared by a friend named Andrew. I would like to thank him for sending me this email. I hope that everyone enjoy reading it and learnt something from it =). Enjoy the story~
The SON

This is great. Take a moment to read it; it will make your day!

The ending will surprise you.

Take my Son

A wealthy man and his son loved to collect rare works of art. They had everything in their collection, from Picasso to Raphael. They would often sit together and admire the great works of art.

When the Vietnam conflict broke out, the son went to war. He was very courageous and died in battle while rescuing another soldier. The father was notified and grieved deeply for his only son.

About a month later, just before Christmas,

there was a knock at the door. A young man stood at the door with a large package in his hands.

He said, 'Sir, you don't know me, but I am the soldier for whom your son gave his life. He saved many lives that day, and he was carrying me to safety when a bullet struck him in the heart and he died instantly. He often talked about you, and your love for art.' The young man held out this package. 'I know this isn't much. I'm not really a great artist, but I think your son would have wanted you to have this.'

The father

opened the package. It was a portrait of his son, painted by the young man... He stared in awe at the way the soldier had captured the personality of his son in the painting. The father was so drawn to the eyes that his own eyes welled up with tears. He thanked the young man and offered to pay him for the picture. 'Oh, no sir, I could never repay what your son did for me. It's a gift.'

The father hung the portrait over his mantle. Every time visitors came to his home he took them to see the portrait of his son before he showed them any of the other great works he had collected.

The man died a few months later. There was to be a great auction of his paintings. Many influential people gathered, excited over seeing the great paintings and having an opportunity to purchase one for their collection.

On the platform sat the painting of the son. The auctioneer pounded his gavel. 'We will start the bidding with this picture of the son. Who will bid for this picture?'

There was silence.

Then a voice in the back of the room shouted, 'We want to see the famous paintings. Skip this one.'

But the auctioneer persisted. 'Will somebody bid for this painting? Who will start the bidding? $100, $200?'

Another voice angrily. 'We didn't come to see this painting. We came to see the Van Gogh's, the Rembrandts. Get on with the
real bids!'

But still the auctioneer continued. 'The son! The son! Who'll take the son?'

Finally, a voice came from the very back of the room. It was the longtime gardener of the man and his son. 'I'll give $10 for the painting..' Being a poor man, it was all he could afford.

'We have $10, who will bid $20?'

'Give it to him for $10. Let's see the masters.'

The crowd was becoming angry.. They didn't want the picture of the son.

They wanted the more worthy investments for their collections.

The auctioneer pounded the gavel. 'Going once, twice, SOLD for $10!'

A man sitting on the second row shouted, 'Now let's get on with the collection!'

The auctioneer laid down his gavel. 'I'm sorry, the auction is over.'

'What about the paintings?'

'I am sorry. When I was called to conduct this auction, I was told of a secret stipulation in the will. I was not allowed to reveal that stipulation until this time. Only the painting of the son would be auctioned. Whoever bought that painting would inherit the entire estate, including the paintings.

The man who took the son gets everything!'

God gave His son 2,000 years ago to die on the cross. Much like the auctioneer, His message today is: 'The son, the son, who'll take the son?'

Because, you see, whoever takes the Son gets everything.

FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD HE GAVE HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON, WHO SO EVER BELIEVETH, SHALL HAVE ETERNAL LIFE...THAT'S LOVE.

As a conclusion, we should NOT ONLY persue after materials which we can't bring with us after our death. Dear fellow readers, just take one minute to reflect, what else can you bring with you after death if it is not God's words which fed in your spirit? God Bless~
